OLG launches new website to support safe gambling

As some of you may already know, the OLG recently opened a new website. The site is full of resources, and information related to the lottery and various casino games, and is aimed at encouraging gamblers to "play smart". They have several different pages on the site categorizing the information and is organized rather well. These tabs include the self-exclusion program  (banning yourself from the casino), the "how gambling works" tab will lead you to all kinds of info on different games and ways to gamble, such as bingo, slots and lottery. The "finding help" section will provide you with some very helpful resources  to help control your gambling addiction.

It's nice to see the OLG makeing an effort to build awareness surrounding the myths of gambling and around the addiction it can cause. But if an opened minded person was to read through the site, keeping in mind that the OLG makes billions each year off of gamblers, I think that person would think twice about basing any decisions on the information given to them by the olg. The site seems like it would be very effective at brainwashing someone who wanted to stop gambling, and for that reason I believe it is a step forward for society. In my opinion they provide all the resource a recovering gambler could need, if not more. But I believe that this is also a bigger scheme in disguise. I'm not going to go deep into details of what I think. I will let you see for yourself.
